Emphasizing songwriting and arranging as the cornerstone of our guitar curriculum, our program combines skill level fundamentals with the student's exploration of their individual style. This process allows the students to build from a solid foundation while also enabling them to use the given tools for continual growth. We make sure all of our students get a strong understanding of music theory in a fun medium that includes writing and playing their favorite songs. There are a variety of classes available in both private or group settings and are lead by instructors who are also some of Colorado's most respected players and teachers.
ELECTRIC GUITAR:
Most of our electric guitar students gravitate towards rock-based music. We enable them to find what they like in music, what style they associate with, and develop their abilities incorporating those aspects. The tools we use to develop their technique are designed to be included at every step, from the very basics to soloing and writing.
ACOUSTIC GUITAR (Steel String and Classical):
Playing acoustic guitar shares a lot of the same aspects as electric, but is also very different. It involves a different approach to get the right amount of sound from the instrument. We work with our students and help them voice their style and melody most efficiently through their guitar. We also show them how to arrange a full song to sound full on just the guitar, as the acoustic guitar is often arranged as the only instrument.
Classical guitar training is also similar, however, it's focused on classical style, including more melodic based guitar parts. This is a different style as well as a different guitar. Utilizing nylon strings, classical guitar is played with your fingers instead of a pick.
electric BASS:
We take you through focused drills that will build strength in your fingers, wrist and forearms, that also will give you a clear understanding of where you can take your bass lines, increasing your writing ability. |
